The ethos for the pre-school has been built around our experience in working with children and their families. We believe that children are happy when their needs are met. We work closely with our families in order to provide an environment where every child is able to learn and thrive.

At Bodmin Pre-school we are concerned with nurturing the all-round (holistic) development of each child emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually. We aim to create a healthy, safe, well-structured, caring environment where children enjoy playing and learning together. We encourage the children to gain confidence and independence in managing their own needs and to make good relationships with both adults and children. We encourage socially acceptable behaviour by praise and example.

At Bodmin pre-school we are committed to a policy of equal opportunities and treat all children with equal concern. We promote positive attitudes to differences of race, gender, additional needs and endeavour to meet the specific needs of the children in all matters including religious persuasion, ethnic origin, culture and linguistic background. Please take a moment to read our Ofsted report at www.ofsted. We were inspected in March 2016. We were proud to have been awarded ‘good’ with several aspects of ‘outstanding practice’.
